Welcome

Before we get started with the educational post I wanted to welcome you all to our blog and introduce myself. For those of you who do not know me I am Laurel Snook one of the board members of the JSC. I have had Jacobs almost 25 years. I fell in love with them when I was 5 years old. Now some of you are thinking who lets their child get Jacobs, my parents did because even though they have horns they are great with children. I have around 50 sheep mostly purebred Jacobs but I do have a few natural colors. I live in Dutchess County NY so if you are ever at the NYS sheep and wool festival in October please come and introduce yourself.

What we are hoping for with this blog is to pass along somethings that we have learned over the years. If you are new to sheep or Jacobs welcome there are lots of things to learn about them to make you a great shepherd to your flock. If you already own Jacobs I hope that you will still learn something from these post. If you have any questions you would like answered please post it in the comments. We are here to help please reach out to us if you need help with anything.
